With kids, Fundació Joan Miró needs the right timing and tolerance.
Josep Lluís Sert's airy white building is as much the draw as the bold Miró paintings, sculptures and tapestries inside, with a roof terrace of sculptures and city glimpses. It's calm, well-curated and a relief after the Gaudí crush. The catch: if abstract/Surrealist art leaves you cold, the collection won't convert you, and it's up on Montjuïc so factor in the climb or funicular.
