Roman Forum offers some beauty & photography, but not enough to make it the reason to go.
Treat the Forum as an essential history visit, not a scenic ruin. With the official map or a guide, the Curia, Via Sacra and House of the Vestals resolve into the political centre Rome used for more than a millennium. The catch: the site is broad, exposed and difficult to read unaided, so a context-free midday walk can feel like hot rubble.
